QUICK AND TASTY CHINESE ROLLS RECIPE

PREPERATION TIME – 15 MINS 

FRYING TIME- 5 MINS 

TOTAL TIME – 20 MINUTES 

SERVES – 4 

INGREDIENTS FOR CHINESE ROLLS

For the dough –

  • 1 cup Maida
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tbsp. corn flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Water

For the filling –

  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • ½ onion { thinly sliced }
  • 1 cup mixed vegetable { thinly sliced
  • 1 potato { boiled }
  • 25 gms paneer { cut into small pieces }
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp chili sauce
  • ½ tsp vinegar
  • ½ tsp soya sauce
  • 1 tsp spring onions { finely chopped }
  • ½ cup boiled noodles

 

Dressing sauce –

  • 2 tbsp. chili sauce
  • 2tbsp tomato sauce
  • A drop of soya sauce
  • ¼ tsp vinegar

METHOD FOR CHINESE ROLLS RECIPE

  • For the dough, take a big bowl and add the Maida, corn flour, oil and salt and mix it well
  • Now add little water and mix the ingredients till they come to together and form a soft dough
  • Once the dough is ready , place it in another bowl and keep it aside for 10 mins
  • Now for the filling , take a wok and pour the oil in and wait for the oil to become hot
  • Once the oil is hot add the ginger and garlic and sauté for 2 mins
  • Once the ginger and garlic have turned a little brown add the onions and cook them until they become tender
  • Now add the mixed vegetable , salt and pepper and saute it for another 4-5 mins
  • Once the vegetables are nicely sautéd , add the boiled potato ,paneer , all the sauces, spring onions and noodles and toss them well till everything combines
  • Once done , keep the filling aside and let it cool
  • Now for the dressing sauce mix the chili sauce , tomato sauce , soya and vinegar till they all come together , once the sauce comes together transfer the sauce into a small bowl and keep aside

For the assembly –

  • Take a small piece of the dough and roll it into a thin circle using a rolling pin
  • Place the rolled dough on a skillet on medium heat for 2 mins or until it turns a little brown
  • Once the rolled dough turns a little brown , take it off the heat and place it on a tray or plate
  • Spread the serving sauce on the cooked and rolled dough
  • Now place a spoonful of the filling in the middle of the rolled, and cooked dough and fold it like a wrap or a Frankie
  • Next put a little bit of oil in a pan or skillet and let the oil turn a little hot
  • Once the oil is hot place the folded wrap and cook on both sides for 2 minutes or until it turns a little crispy
  • Once a little crispy , transfer it onto a plate and serve
  • Tasty Chinese rolls are ready !
