CAFE STYLE CORN CHEESE BALLS AT HOME

INGREDIENTS FOR CHEESE CORN BALLS

  • 1 1/2  cup grated boiled potato
  •   5-6 tbsp of Mix Veggies (onion, bell peppers, etc)
  • 1 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Flakes
  •  2 tsp Oregano
  •   1 tsp Salt
  •   1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 cloves  Grated Garlic
  •   1 cup grated Cheese
  • 2 cups Bread Crumbs
  • 6 tbsp Maida
  • 6 tbsp Corn Flour
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • oil for frying

METHOD FOR CORN CHEESE BALLS

  • In a cooker place 3-4 medium sized potatoes along with water  and let them boil , it should take around 10-12 mins
  • Once the potatoes are boiled ,  peel and grate them and add them to a large mixing bowl
  • Along with the grated potatoes, add the grated cheese , chilli flakes , oregano , salt and black peeper and mix it all together 
  • Next ,in a pan / cooker / microwave  add the mixed vegeatbles along with some some water and let them boil for around 2-5 mins or until they become tender 
  • Once the vegetables are tender add them to the potato- cheese mixture and mix it well
  • Once the mixture is ready , pour oil in a pan and let it come to a boil
  • While the oil is boiling ,mix the cornflour and maida with 1/2 cup of water into a smooth mixture
  • Next ,roll the potato – cheese  mixture into small balls and dip them into the cornflour mixture and roll them in the breadcrumbs
  • Once all your corn cheese balls are covered in breadcrumbs , drop them one by one into the pan filled with oil and fry them till they become golden brown
  • Once golden brown remove them from the pan and gently place them on a napkin to remove the excess oil
  • Cafe style corn cheese balls are ready ! serve with tomato ketchup or hot sauce for best flavour profile
